Additional Rules

The Lazy Turtle sits within a turtle protected area. During nesting season, by local ordinance, peaceful enjoyment ( low noise) is observed, and outdoor lights are off ( or set to red/orange) from 9 pm till dawn. The season is March to October inclusive. The beach is patrolled to enforce, and citations are used.

The house is perfect for large families. There is plenty of table space and prep space. We enjoyed having the living room so open and easy for all the kids as well. There are great porches to use for all types of weather. The upstairs porch is great when it's a little chilly. It feels like a writer's retreat! We appreciated the house having a well-stocked kitchen and laundry. This made our trip much more enjoyable. Not having to go out and purchase separate spices for cooking was a plus. The bed in the master was very comfortable. The rest of the beds are moderately comfortable. If you like a firmer mattress, then these beds might not pass that test. The rooms were moderately roomy and if it's just two in a room, then they are great. We loved being right on the beach! We could come and go without having to pick up all our belongings. The outdoor shower was fantastic! This is on a busy road. Cars fly by most of the day, so be prepared to keep the kids close. I would definitely recommend it.

We had a great time visiting and enjoyed the beach, just steps away from the back door. The quiet surroundings made it seem like we had our own private beach. Very little foot traffic compared to other areas of the beach made for an amazing getaway. I will definitely look to come back in the future.

Beautiful home, well-furnished, with lots of beach towels. Jim and Denise (and Melanie) are super responsive to any questions or needs. Great beach access, though not ideal for long walks due to the slant even at low tide. We were able to go for long walks in Guana, about 1 mile away (provided we had a pass to use). I was thrilled to have two turtle nests laid at properties on both sides during the week we were there. The beach patrol let us peek in the holes after they dug out one egg from each for DNA testing. It was a very enjoyable week.

Thank you for the ease of checking in and the coziness of your home. The view was breathtaking. Every morning, I see the sunset.
